LPFG Ltd was founded on 11 July 2018 by our Managing Director, Graham Liddell. His aim is to bring his energy and enthusiasm to provide practical and intelligent support for public sector bodies in three key areas: 

• financial reporting

• audit, risk and assurance

• transforming support functions and shared services.

Graham has worked extensively across the public sector in the UK providing insightful and constructive analysis on complex and sensitive financial reporting and governance issues and supporting transformation. He is also a gifted communicator, presenter and facilitator.

His career highlights include:

• redesigning the audit approach for the Audit Commission (then the UK’s fifth largest audit practice)

• establishing and leading Grant Thornton's public sector technical team (the largest provider of public sector audit in the UK)

• providing advice and guidance on complex and sensitive issues at some of the UK's highest profile authorities including Manchester City Council, Birmingham City Council, the Mayor's Office for Police and Crime.

• transforming audit and assurance functions at Brighton & Hove City Council and  playing an instrumental role in Brighton & Hove joining the Orbis shared service partnership as a founding member.

And if it is qualifications and letters that impress you, Graham has these in abundance. With an MA from Oxford, Graham qualified as a chartered accountant with a Big Four firm and holds an ICAEW practising certificate. Graham's other qualifications include:

• a post-graduate certificate in education (PGCE) from the University of Leeds (distinction)

• a Certificate in IFRS in the public sector (CIPFA/ICAEW).
